Stirring Up Strife by Jennifer Stanley

This is the first book of a brand new series.

Office equipment repair woman Cooper Lee is having a hard time getting over a relationship that ended after 5 years, when he told her he was in love with someone else.  She seems to be moving through her life in a haze when she meets Brooke Hughes while fixing her copier and Brooke invites her to her church.   Cooper thinks it might be a good idea to meet some new people and decides to attend a service.  On her way in she stumbles into a Bible study group where she learns that the woman what invited her to the church has been murdered and her husband is being held for the crime.  The whole study group believes he's innocent and sets out to find the real killer, and Cooper gets wrapped right up in the investigation with them.

The Bible study group is made up of quite a team of characters and so is Cooper's family, which adds a lot of humor to this story.  Her grandmother is priceless.  She may also have someone to help her get over her jerk of an ex-boyfriend.

This book was truly enjoyable, the characters are well developed and the plot is superb.  I'm hooked and can't wait to see what the next installment will bring.
