FEEL GOOD FRIDAY!!!!!

Welcome to

Feel GooFriday!!!

Erika had found that a lot of her bloggy friends reading posts about being positive, so she thought she might try her very own meme. She just wanted everyone to feel good and have some happy thoughts as you begin the weekend.  Go over to her blog for the details.

What made me Feel Goothis week.
Going with a list this week.

1. As my entire post told you last week I am so excited that the PACKERS are in the Super Bowl!!!! And it is snowing in Texas!!!!

2. We survived the big blizzard/snow storm this week. My first worry was getting very one home safe Tuesday night, Katy has already planned to stay at work because she wouldn't get done until 10:30 and knew the roads would be impassable.  Kaden was with his other grandparents.  They both finally came home just yesterday.  Jayme home from school, Betsy arrived home about 4 p.m.  Jeff called at 7 p.m. saying he got to our village from his job (about 1 plus drive on a good day) but couldn't get home as one road was completely snowed shut with at least a 5-6 foot drift completely across the road.  After backing up he tried first one other street in our subdivision, same problem, and finally the third try was a charm and he made it through the smaller drifts and thankfully Jayme had just cleared the driveway from the first batch of snow.
Tuesday Night

It was so funny my husband woke up about 6 a.m. on Wednesday and woke me up saying, "it's not even snowing, I think the storm missed us." Then he tried to let the dogs out the back door and found a huge pile of snow halfway up the door.  Decided to try the front door, same problem.  Got dressed to go outside and opened one of the garage doors, the snow came tumbling in and he found our minivan completely buried and the whole driveway, full of drift after drift and the road completely gone, covered in too much snow. Needless to  say he worked from home and besides doing his work spent time snow blowing and shoveling.  Each time he got the end of the driveway cleared the village snowplow came through and plowed it full again.  He spent most of the day looking like a big fluffy snowman.

I wish Jeff would have taken more pictures but he was focused on the important job of shoveling.  Our neighbors live downhill a bit from us and the snow in their driveway was piled as high as our yard.  The had someone come with a pickup truck with a plow and he got stuck in their driveway at least twice.

Good News: The groundhogs didn't see their shadows so Spring is right around the corner.

3. Speaking of Jeff, he received a well deserved promotion last week at work.  He loves his job and is excited about all his new responsibilities and the restructuring that was done.

4.  The Fall River Pirates Boys Basketball Team played their long-time rival the Rio Vikings last night. (Rio is about a 20 minute drive from Fall River.)  It is always a fantastic game, when we played them at Rio earlier in the season, we lost after an overtime period.  Last year we lost one game to them after a double overtime. Last night we beat them in regulation 69-62.  It was an exciting game start to finish and I was hoarse from yelling all night.  Way to go Pirates!!!

That's what makes me Feel Good,
I can't wait to read about what made you
Feel Good this week!!

It is still snowing in Dallas! It is supposed warm up and melt everything by the Super Bowl. Think we have about six inches right now. About an hour ago, some ice fell off part of the Super Bowl and injured five people.
Strange here!

Hi There!
Thanks for the visit! I love this post! Even thought you had a blizzard you still have something positive to say! I think that's great! I hope you like Inez's book if you get a chance to read it. I picked it up expecting a racy little number that would fill a few hours and read through the night! Let me know what you thought!

Lori, sorry you guys have had so much weather! However, I find it hilarious that the Packers and the Steelers come to Texas for the Super Bowl and Dallas has the worst storm in many years! We even had snow on the ground this morning in Austin. Very strange for us! It's an interesting winter. I'm just glad the temps are above freezing here now. We've been below for days and we're not used to it! LOL

We are MELTING at the moment and hopefully tonight there will not be enough moisture on the roads and bridges to form Black Ice...

I feel so sorry for your hubs Lori, all that snowblowing and then the plow just put it right back!

Congrats on the latest addition Grandma, you will not care if it is a boy or a girl either as long as the little one is healthy!

I feel good today because of exactly that, after over 2 months of feeling like total crud woke up yesterday and this morning feeling better than I have in probably 6 months!
Happy weekend, stay warm!

Have there ever been more pictures of snow shared with everyone than there have been this winter? Ever notice how every time we take pictures of snow, we think these will be so different from all the others? Lots of excitement for you this week, huh!!
