CURRENTLY READING

The Days of our Lives: The True Story of One Family's Dream and the Untold History of Days of our Lives

Days of Our Lives by Ken Corday

Days of our Lives is my all time favorite show. I have watched it for as long as I can remember and a few months ago Frances Reid who played Alice Horton since the 1st episode passed away. This week on the show they are paying tribute to her and showing some very old memorable clips and the character will pass away. I cried watching parts of the show last week. Actors who have not been on the show are returning to be there as her heath is failing and the end is near. She was a very special woman on-screen and off.

So this week is Soap Opera Week for my Reading List.

After finishing the book above I will be reading.

Death In Daytime: A Soap Opera MysteryDial Emmy For Murder: A Soap Opera MysteryDiva Las Vegas: A Soap Opera Mystery

These three books are all by Eileen Davidson, an actress who as appeared on a few soap operas but I know her best from Days of our Lives when she played Kristen Blake and then Kristen's look a-like Susan Banks, and 3 other minor roles on the show. While her she has not been on the show since 1998, her tie to the show today is that she is E.J. Dimera's mother, who she gave birth to as Susan Banks, who just loved ELVIS.

I hope you all have a HAPPY WEEK OF READING!!!!

Blogger has been giving me fits this morning, has anyone else had any problems? I don't know where all this extra lines came from and can't remove them.

Hi Lori! Looks like you've been a busy girl reading too!

How sweet that you post about Frances Reid! I have watched Days of Our Lives since I was a little bitty girl with my grandma, and Alice Horton was always a favorite character of mine! Miss Frances was born in my hometown of Wichita Falls, Texas, and I was always real proud of that bit of trivia!

Have a great week of reading! Stop by my blog when you have time!

She is the grandma I always wanted, mine died when I was very young.

Wow, that's a great list of books! The "Booktown" series sounds like something I really need to get into - I might buy them just for the covers alone!

Hope you have another wonderful week of reading.

Oh, your books look great, but I'm especially interested in the book about Days of our Lives. I've watched that show off and on since the 60s.

I post about various soaps on my Moonbeams and Rainbows blog here:

Hope you'll stop by.

Thanks for checking out my Monday post.

What a great list! I would read Population: 485 based on the title alone! Blogger was a headache for me last week as well! Urgh!!! I haven't done any life posts to my blog today, as they were both scheduled posts, but I'll see if I end up with lines as well!

Here's my Monday:
