My comments below are based on the hardcover edition.
Kim McDaniels has taken some time off from college to do a little modeling in Hawaii. She never shows up for the second day of the photo shoot. Only hours after she goes missing her parents receive a terrifying phone call, that makes them catch the first flight to Hawaii to find their daughter.
Ben Hawkins, an ex-cop, now L.A. Times reporter, is sent to Hawaii to cover the story. He can't believe how the local police are handling the case, they think Kim is just off somewhere with a guy. Ben decides to get the story and hopefully find Kim, he needs to put his "cop hat" back on and investigate for himself. Little does he know this will lead him to the biggest story in his life.
The kidnapper/killer continues to perform for his audience and people keep dying in some very gruesome ways to keep the entertainment at an all time high.
At the end of this book I sat up and said WOW!!! The book is spellbinding, riveting, edge of your seat, a mind bending thriller. I was drawn in from first page until the last. I had read some reviews panning this book and all I can say is they must have read a different book or this was not their genre. This book is a book you will not put down and even when you finish it you won't be able to forget about it.
