Welcome to Feel Good Friday!
Laura had found that a lot of her bloggy friends reading posts about being positive, so she thought she might try her very own meme. She just wanted everyone to feel good and have some happy thoughts as you begin the weekend.
I thought it sounded like fun and
it is never too late to join!!!
I have posted the prompts here to give you some idea of what this meme is about:
Pick one of these prompts and write about it on your blog! You can:
- Just make a list. List 5 things that made you really happy this week. No matter how bad or boring you think your week was, I bet you can find 5 things.
- Write about something that happened to you this week that really made you smile. Was it your child, husband, or maybe a complete stranger did to you?
- Write about something that YOU did for someone else that really made them happy or laugh.
- Is there something you treasure so much that every single time you look at it, it brings you happiness? Post a pic and tell everyone about it.
- Having a hard week and can’t find one good thing about it? Well then, what is your happy place? What do you think of that makes you happy? A past vacation? A childhood memory? We want to know!
Then head over to
and link your blog so everyone can visit and see all about what made you
Feel Good!!!

Here's what made me smile this week...
1. I reviewed a book on my blog and it was actually printed in a newspaper and is on the newspaper's website. It was definitely a first for me!
Here's the link: http://www.republican-eagle.com/event/article/id/68360/publisher_ID/16/ Just in case you can't tell from my review both of John L. Betcher's books are really good!!
2. I was given a blog award by Jules at One Book Shy. It was The Versatile Blogger award which I passed on to some fantastic blogs, some that post in this meme regularly!!!
3. I was able to get a review copy of the book by the author I mentioned my sister and I tracked down last week. The events in the book took place before I was even born, but the descriptions of my hometown brought back many cherished memories.
4. My grandson always makes me smile, even when he is naughty, which his has been this morning. When his mom and I sat him down for a time out, he shouted "Grandma Naughty". Now after the time out he has come back, apologized, gave me a big hug and asked to go to the library for some new fire truck books, maybe Papa can take him tonight with Aunt Betsy.
5. Last week I told you my youngest had his SENIOR pictures taken, why do they grow up so fast? Anyway we have about 40 proofs to choose from and there are only about 3 that are out of the running because of goofy faces. Thanks for your help, we have finally made a decision.
Hope you all have had
wonderful weeks!
Can't wait to read your

Tomorrow is the last day of

Hi Lori,
My feel good Friday this week is the great news that my sister is pregnant... with triplets! :) Fun, fun, fun!!!
Sounds like some good reading!!
My favorite photo is the one of him sitting in front of his sports jerseys.
Sometimes it's amusing how toddlers express how they feel!
Thanks for dropping by my FGF.

Lori thanks for stopping by my FGF.....
I love the pose on the rocks in front of the dam spillway and the one where he is dressed up formally in black with that brilliant splash of red tie on the shirt front!! Very dressy and yet that friendly open smile just takes it to warm and not fussy.....
The week sounded good and hope your weekend is as well and next week continues the happiness!

THANKS everyone for the help, keep it coming, I am going to search for a special pic for next week of the two youngest kids when they were small, one of my favorites and it has to be here somewhere.
I found your blog through the hop and am now a follower. I love the Feel Good Friday meme and will participate beginning next week.
