For those of you who don't know the history of this week or how to participate I have taken this information from the BBAW website:
What: Book Blogger Appreciation Week was started by Amy Riley of My Friend Amy and is a week long festival celebrating the community of book bloggers and their contribution to preserving a culture of literacy through book reviews and recommendations, reading reflections, and general bookish chat. BBAW also includes an awards component. For more information on the BBAW 2010 Awards and how to participate, please visit the BBAW 2010 Awards Blog. BBAW events include daily blogging topics, blogger interview swaps, special guest posts, and so much more!
Who: If you self-identify as a book blogger, this festival is for you! We have been excited to welcome participants from all over the world for past BBAWs.
When: September 13-17, 2010.
Where: Right here at the Book Blogger Appreciation Week blog. You can participate in the comfort of your own home and the convenience of your own time zone.
Why: Because book blogging is a fun and time intensive hobby that has created communities around books and played a crucial role in the continuing evolution of what books mean in our society.
This is brand new to me and it is very exciting to complete this entry post! Am I including my best work? Am I showing enough range? Yes, I read and review a lot of mysteries but I really don't limit myself to that genre, did I pick the right Niche Category? I know I am a new blog, so that choice was easy, but am I giving the judges the right choices to get to know me. I hope so.

Dollycas's Thoughts was born on December 31, 2009 as a way for me to share my thoughts on various topics primarily to do with books I read, but not excluding other thoughts that strike me as relevant. The primary focus of my reading material are mysteries, both cozy and thrillers, but am open to any genre with the exceptional of sci-fi and paranormal. While I do enjoy reading established or well known authors, one of the best parts of having this blog is receiving works from authors who are presently self published and discovering some remarkable new authors. This year I was extremely impressed with the two books I received from John L. Betcher and have included a post for his first book below for both categories.
