Georgiana works as a plumber's apprentice as she studies to take the test to earn her plumber's license. Her mother is marrying real estate mogul Gregory Whitlock and he is building a brand new house for he and his bride. Georgiana's mother has offered to sell her house to her daughter but before that can happen it needs to pass inspection. Georgie knows she can handle the plumbing part of the inspection herself which involves crawling under the house to check the pipes. Imagine her surprise when she is discovers she is not the only body underneath the house. Big problem, the other body is dead and it is her mother's fiancée Gregory Whitlock. Of course the first person suspected of the killing is Georgie's mom and Georgie will be crawling in to more deep dark spaces to try to save her mother from drowning in a bunch of circumstantial evidence to bring the real killer to justice. She also has to keep herself out of hot water so she doesn't end up as another dead body.
Is this the end of the Georgiana Neverall Series? It seemed like it. I loved the first two books in this series so maybe my expectations were set too high. This story just seemed to predictable to me. It was like a cozy mystery light, light on the mystery, light on humor and romance, light on the plot. I hope this is not the end of the series because I know this author can write a good mystery. I love cozy mysteries so it is really hard to write a review for a book that just didn't excite me. I look forward to more offerings by Christy Evans and hope this one was just a fluke that didn't rise to the high bar she set for herself in the first two books in this series.

Too bad you didn't enjoy this more. Hope you have a great weekend, Lori!
Julie,
It was really sad because I really loved the first two. I can't wait to see what other reviewers think because don't laugh but I almost felt like this one was written by a different person than the first 2 or the author was rushed to get this one out.
I posted here and it didn't show up either. It doesn't recognize my wordpress link.
Thank you for your honest review. I wonder what the author thinks of this book?
What a great blog. I do not know where to start!

I do love a good cozy mystery, however, I have never read this series.
Glad I stopped by, Lori, as I didn't know this author and might wait on it after reading what you said as I do have a bunch on the TBR pile. ..I do love your blog however and want to thank you for your sweet comment over at Cheryl's for the Sunday's Shining Star! Have a good week!
I love cozies. Is this part of ABC Crime Fiction for Monday? I'm doing that meme for the first time. That group is working on the letter "D" Your Drip...fits. If I'm at the wrong place at the wrong tell me. I did enjoy your review.
