No, I am not a new Tabloid Reporter, but it is a feature so
that we can all get to know each other better.
This feature will be open from Thursday at 12:01 A.M. and close on Monday at 11:59 P.M. to allow those that want to participate over the weekend the opportunity to do so when they have more time. So you may want to check back on Tuesday or check the previous week's link on Thursday to view everyone's answers.
Links to all previous weeks at the bottom of the post for those who missed a week or two and want to catch up on everyone's answers. To do that please link up using the actual post link instead of the link to your entire blog so people can find your "Enquiring" posts easier.
If you are just joining this feature
WELCOME!!!!!
We all become friends/followers but most of us will never meet in person, this feature is to help us all get to know each other better.
Each Thursday I will post 3 questions for you to answer
that you can copy and post on your blog with your answers.
You don’t have to be a blogger to participate either. I will be using a Linky List for the blogs to use to participate and follow each other around to get to know each other, but if you are not a blogger just answer the questions in the comment section following the post on your favorite blog. Please feel free to click on the links and visit other blogs too.
This way we not only get to know other bloggers,
we get to know our followers too.
I am really excited about this meme
and hope many more people will join the fun!!!!!
Are you interested?
Wasn't last week fun. All kinds of yummy ideas!!
WEEK 20 QUESTIONS
A little heavier this week.
First let me say I try to keep my political opinions away from this book blog, but the events this past weekend impacted all U.S. Citizens, no matter what party you agree with or even if you don't vote at all.
If this questions are too heavy for you, please don't run away. This tragedy has been heavy on my mind all week. If you don't want to answer the questions below just use the space this week to tell us all something about you we don't know.
1. Where were you/how did you hear about the tragedy in Tucson?
2. Do you think it is the politicians and the news media that stir the pot to make these events more likely to happen?
3. Do you think we will see any changes in the way our representatives in our home states or in Washington interact with their constituents/us?
Now be sure to copy and paste the information and your answers into your blog, then come back to link up, so we can come to your blog and read your answers.

Enquiring Minds Want To Know!!
MY ANSWERS:
1. Where were you/how did you hear about the tragedy in Tucson?
I was in my room reading and my husband came in and turned on the television. The tears just started flowing. We can't even be safe at a local supermarket. I watched CNN the rest of the day.
2. Do you think it is the politicians and the news media that stir the pot to make these events more likely to happen?
I do believe what people see on television or in newspapers or even on Facebook can effect even a rational person and send someone with diminished capacity over the edge. Words and images need to be chosen carefully and we need to make sure you tell the people you love how you feel everyday. What truly broke my heart was the man who died saving his wife. She was treated and released from the hospital and said she hoped he knew how much she loved him.
3. Do you think we will see any changes in the way our representatives in our home states or in Washington interact with their constituents/us and with each other?
My local Congresswoman said at first she wouldn't change the way she meets and greets the people she represents but did say she will have her staff be more diligent in contacting local authorities with more advance notice so that if needed they will be on alert. I think of her and other politicians walking in our 4th of July parade, reaching out, shaking hands with as many people as they can and at what a risk they put themselves at to serve us. I may not agree with all their politics but I respect the danger that they can be putting themselves in to work in our local, state and national government. I hope things will be learned from this tragedy by our representatives and they make more of an effort to work together toward what is good for the country and not what is good for them personally to get reelected.

Very thought provoking questions this week. I almost didn't want to post something, though, because I hate politics. Thanks for helping me get out of my bubble just a little bit. ;)
