"All the best stories in the world are but one story in reality -- the story of escape. It is the only thing which interests us all and at all times, how to escape."

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY!!!!!

Welcome to
Feel GooFriday!!!

Erika had found that a lot of her bloggy friends reading posts about being positive, so she thought she might try her very own meme. She just wanted everyone to feel good and have some happy thoughts as you begin the weekend.  Go over to her blog for the details.

"The Girl" is busy constructing a new website so for the time being this feature is being hosted by lia sophia tomgirl.  She has a great blog, be sure to check it out!

I missed last week because I was playing catch up due to spending a couple days in the hospital earlier that week so my Feel Good I am posting about today actually started a couple of weeks ago and it sure didn't seem like a Feel Good  moment at the time.

About three weeks ago my husband Jeff was on his way to work.  He works in Oshkosh which is about 65 miles from here.  I was really surprised to see him home about an hour after he left and he said the minivan started making a weird noise and he barely made it back to the repair place.  We have had this minivan about 10 years and it was starting to have some problems but nothing that couldn't be fixed until now.

It didn't take long to find out this repair was going to cost more than the van was worth so Jeff with the help of his mom starting to look for a new Caswell vehicle.  They went one Saturday just to look, took some pictures, then came home and did some online research, then Jeff contacted the salesman we had originally purchased our van from, who was still working for the same dealership, only at a different location.  Thanks to email Jeff and the salesman were able to work out a lot of details with the exception of picking out the actual car. The salesman had a few on his lot that he thought would fit our needs. Jeff didn't want another minivan but we need a place large enough to carry my wheelchair and still have room for groceries or other shopping, room for Kaden's car seat and a least one more person, hopefully two in addition to the driver and front passenger. I told Jeff it was his decision because he is the one driving and I only ride along occasionally, so he needed something he was comfortable driving in 2+ hours a day.

This is what he brought home:
It is a new to us Chrysler Pacifica, and we love it!!  But there is a really funny story to go with this.

A couple of years ago I had seen a commercial on television about a car I thought I would like it we ever had the opportunity to get a new car.  There was even a website you could go to to design your own car and I did.  I shared my creation with Jeff and he hated it, absolutely hated it. Well, the car I had designed was a Dodge Journey which would be the cousin of the Chrysler Pacifica.  I thought this car Jeff brought home looked familiar but didn't say too much.  He drove the car up to work the next week and one of the office girls came in and told Jeff she liked his car, it looked like a twin to hers. So Jeff went out to compare the cars and darn they did look the same except hers is a Journey.  He came back in the office and Skyped me right away and accused me of being sneaky and getting the car I wanted. I said "you were the one that picked it out, I wasn't even there."  Funny how things work out and I am still Feeling Good about it today.

The other Feel Good moment I didn't get to report on was that we attended Jayme's last Varsity basketball dinner.  The first picture shows the team, coaches and the man who announces the boys games, Tim Hoffman.  Tim put on this dinner for the Varsity boys and girls teams and this year he presented the Seniors will some awesome jackets.  The picture above shows Tim with Jayme who is wearing his jacket.  Tim does a lot to promote Fall River Athletics. Behind Tim and Jayme is a team picture that Tim had blown up that he was donating as a prize as well as other things to the yearly Booster Bash.  We have known Tim our entire lives and it was so special to have him share this moment with Jayme.

I can't wait to read about what made you
Feel Good this week!!

Lori it really is funny how things work out and glad that the vehicle debacle had a happier ending than I thought it might there for a moment!

Congrats to Jayme too, last celebration dinner was a huge milestone on his way to saying goodbye to childhood memories and on to new beginnings!

I agree Deja Vu occurs many times in some of the day to day common activities. BTW I like your new car and everyone got the car they wanted.
