"All the best stories in the world are but one story in reality -- the story of escape. It is the only thing which interests us all and at all times, how to escape."

Welcome to
Feel GooFriday!!!

Erika had found that a lot of her bloggy friends reading posts about being positive, so she thought she might try her very own meme. She just wanted everyone to feel good and have some happy thoughts as you begin the weekend.  Go over to her blog for the details.

"The Girl" is busy constructing a new website so for the time being this feature is being hosted by lia sophia tomgirl.  She has a great blog, be sure to check it out!

Let's start first with a couple of things that didn't make me feel good this week.  On Monday I learned that a friend's daughter was hurt when a UTV she was riding on tipped over and as far as I know today she has already had 2 surgeries on her foot to repair damage from the accident.

Then last night my daughter Katy was taken from work by ambulance to the hospital.  She works with developmentally disabled adults and while one was "exhibiting bad behaviors" she was trying to get away from him and injured her right leg.  The ER doctor think she may have torn her ACL so she has her leg in an immobilizer and an appointment with an orthopedic specialist on Tuesday.
Please keep both these girls in your prayers.

What made me Feel Good This Week

I shared a picture last week that Kris and Amber had taken by a new local photographer. She has a Facebook Page Capture The Memory Photography and she ran a contest that if she reached 500 followers she would give away a free photo shoot.  I won the contest!!! Since my face hasn't completely healed yet so I can really smile I decided to have Kaden's 4 year old pictures taken a little early.  She takes really awesome pictures.  You can check them out on her web page.  If you live in this area I would give her the highest recommendation possible.

Her work is truly original.  Just one more here of Kris and Amber. You know I will share Kaden's too!

unveiled a new rating system yesterday for my book reviews.  I think it matches my beach/escape theme better.  Let me know what you think.

Last but not least I reviewed an AWESOME book this week that both my daughter Betsy and I loved so it truly is for all ages.  Flat Out Love by Jessica Park  In case you don't check out my blog every day I want to be sure you hear about this book.  It is so good!!

What made you Feel Good This Week?
I hope you will take a moment to share it with me.

What a nice field of flowers and your kids holding hands gazing into each others eyes is priceless!

Love the ratings, they are just as cool as the other very colorful aspects of your blog Lori.

Here is my happy and ARC and a giveaway win from DreamOnUs HB book that I have wanted for years as it took years to release the 5th book in the Snow and Ice fantasy series.

I'm sorry about your own daughter and your friend's daughter - I hope they heal quickly. I always sort of worried about my middle daughter when she was working with difficult brain-injured patients, as she is so small and could easily be overpowered. Yay on your win! And I LOVE your new ratings system!

I will keep both your friend's daughter and your daughter in my prayers. I hope both have good outcomes. I did buy Flat Out Love for my Nook after reading your review. I love the picture in the field of flowers. It really is stunning!
