Aaron Rodgers is the “NFC Offensive Player of the Week” for the first week of October, following his six-touchdown performance in last Sunday’s 49-23 win over the Denver Broncos. 

Rodgers was “NFC Offensive Player of the Month” for September and also won player-of-the-week honors for Week 1. This marks the fourth time in his career he has been named player of the week.

The Brewers need a win today to keep the dream alive!!

Plus my favorite NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth is the in race reporter this week at Kansas!!

What made me FEEL GOOD this week?

Last Saturday night I attended the 50th Birthday Bash for my high school graduating class.  You may remember from last week's post I was really nervous about going. Well I went and I had a blast!!! My anxiety melted away as soon as I saw my friends.

There is no picture of my best moment of the night.  My girlfriends were all on the dance floor and I was very happy sitting on the sidelines when a friend came over and grabbed my hands and started dancing with me.  My wheelchair didn't faze him one bit.  I had a blast and probably haven't have that much exercise or fun in years. For those few minutes I forgot about my disability and felt like my old self again. He doesn't follow my blog and is not on Facebook so he will probably not even know the effect those few minutes had on me until maybe we see each other again at the next reunion.  

Thank you Gigi and Elisa for a wonderful idea!!! 

It was a night I will never forget!!

We plan to get together again in three years for another reunion.  It shocks me to think it will be 35 years since our high school graduation.  Hopefully we will get an even bigger turnout.  I can hardly wait!!!

What made me FEEL GOOD this week?
This week hasn't really been about 
something that has happened 
but more about something that is happening tomorrow night. 
Tomorrow night my high school class is getting together to 
celebrate all of us turning fifty!

We didn't have a 30 year class reunion so some of my classmates organized this party which I have been really looking forward to and dreading at the same time.  For the past 10 years with the exception of family get togethers, my children's school events, and going to my church when I worked there, I rarely leave the house.  It has gotten worse since I lost my job at the church in 2009.  These days a trip to the doctor, getting a haircut or even just a trip to Walmart can send me into a full blown anxiety attack.  

I used to be outgoing, volunteered for everything, went out with friends but that all changed after my accident.  A few of my classmates came to visit me after the accident and I have seen one or two occasionally over the years, but tomorrow night will be a monumental step for me.

My daughters did take me to get my hair done earlier this week and with the exception of a little upset stomach on the way there, I made it through and had a good time. We went to a new place and the stylist was wonderful, handling my anxiety and making me look good and feel great.

The big step will come tomorrow night. I haven't been in a bar in over 10 years, I haven't seen most of these people in twenty years or more because I had conflicts attending the last couple of reunions. I am sure I will have a great time, if I can just make it through the door.

I am asking you for some prayers for strength and confidence and hopefully next week I will have a bunch of pictures to share.

What made me FEEL GOOD this week?

This was an interesting week. On Monday daughter Katy and niece Allie took grandson Kaden to the Milwaukee Public Museum. They took tons of pictures and I felt like I was there.  Looking at most of the pictures the place hasn't changed much since we took all the kids there when they were younger.

Then on Tuesday my kids were taking part in a kickball game. As I have told you before the local grocery store is like Caswell's grocery store.  All my kids have worked there as well as some of my nieces and nephews. Katy is the only one of my kids no longer working there so she was my photographer. My daughter-in-law now works for the same chain but in a neighboring town.  Her store and our local store competed against each other and while the local store started out strong, Amber's store ended up winning.  It was so much fun to watch!

Then last night the Green Bay Packers took on the New Orleans Saints in the first game of the season and they started off strong but there was still the heart attack ending where the game was almost tied in the last seconds.  I don't know why they have to do that to us every week!!!
