Now for the books:

Adulation by Tiana Wilkens This is a modern day Cinderella story.  Cassie's mother dies giving birth to her and for 12 years she is the apple of her dad's eye, they are best friends and do all kinds of fun things together.  Then dad remarries, enter the absolutely evil step-mother with two daughters of her own.  Two years later Dad dies suddenly from pneumonia and Cassie is left alone with these people, and virtually becomes their slave and must take their abuse until she meets her prince who can take her away from it all.

Don't Call Me Ma'am by Anna Mitchael 
 This story takes us on a trip with the author through her twenties and into her past.  Leaving the south after college, through many states as she moves for jobs and boyfriends and into her past with her wonderful visits to Grandma Camp, and how her mother and grandmother think she should live her life. She realizes she is really growing up a teenage bagger at a grocery store calls her "MA'AM".
