FEEL GOOD FRIDAY!!!

Welcome to
Feel Good Friday!!!
Erika had found that a lot of her bloggy friends reading posts about being positive, so she thought she might try her very own meme. She just wanted everyone to feel good and have some happy thoughts as you begin the weekend.

Well the week started out with me being sick, but I am feeling much better, but still catching up on a few things like a book review I have to get done today.  I am also waiting for the snow to start, we are expected to have a nice snowfall later today into tomorrow.  That should help get all of us in the Christmas Spirit.
I am not really picking a prompt this week, but fulfilling a request I have received from many after last Friday's post.  I can't believe the number of emails, Facebook and other requests I received for the Buttery Bread Stick recipe Jeff and Kaden made for Thanksgiving, so here it is.

I must first tell you this recipe originated several years ago when I was the office manager of a frozen bread dough plant here in Wisconsin and the company has changed the recipe several times over the years but this is the "original" recipe which my family loves and it requested often for family get togethers.

Caswell's Buttery Bread Sticks

Ingredients
12 Frozen Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold
1/2 cup Butter, melted
McCormick Salad Supreme Seasoning which includes:
ROMANO CHEESE (PART-SKIM COW'S MILK, CHEESE CULTURES, SALT, ENZYMES), SALT, SESAME SEED, POPPY SEED, PAPRIKA, GARLIC, CELERY SEED, BLACK PEPPER, AND RED PEPPER.

Directions
  • Place butter in standard rectangular cake pan
  • Roll each dinner roll into a 6-inch rope.
  • Place each rope in cake pan, rolling the rope in the butter.
  • Continue with each dinner roll rope, they will fit snuggly together but may not reach side edges.
  • After all ropes are in pan, shake Salad Supreme Seasoning liberally over the dough.
  • Spray a piece of plastic wrap with non-stick butter flavored cooking spray and cover pan, spray side down and allow dough to rise for about an hour in a warm place or until dough has about doubled in size (reaches the sides of pan)
  • Remove plastic wrap and bake at 350 degrees  for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

These are delicious, buttery, pull apart bread sticks.  I hope your family enjoys them as much as we do. Jeff usually uses a rimmed cookie sheet and fits about 18 rolls on each and bakes at least 2 pans for our crew.  Since not everyone has this type of cookie sheet or as many mouths to feed I have tried to adjust the recipe for a cake pan.  The recipe is super simple, you can also replace the Salad Supreme with grated Parmesan cheese and/or garlic salt.  It is a great recipe to make with kids too.

I can't wait to read about what made you
Feel Good this week!!

I did not do my post this week as just got home a short while ago so did not have the day to look around and comment... I am very glad however that I came by your site today Lori, am "stealing" this yummy for the tummy goodies and bookmarking it in my computer so can try out the recipe for myself sometime....

That is a true feel good friday picture along with the actual recipe, makes me hungry for some bread sticks fresh out of the oven right now!

Thanks for sharing! Have a great weekend and glad you are feeling better, we have had cooler weather in our area until today when sun came out and got back up in temp some... Sun is going down now and it is already chilling back down some... Christmas spirit in Texas however never depends on cool weather, for Christmas we will probably be in the 70-s to 80-s during the day if this year does what every year before it has!

Boy does that look good. I love carbs especially warm from the oven.

I just made Red Lobster's biscuits and I am writing about it. There is nothing like good bread. Yum.

I made 15 biscuits last night and only have 4 left over with 3 people eating them. Why even make a main course?!
