COZY WEDNESDAY - Unraveled by Maggie Sefton

Maggie Sefton is Guest Posting here on June 14th but I didn't want to wait until then to review this book.  This is one of my all time favorite series and we were really left up in the air at the end of Skein of the Crime, the last book in this series when Kelly and Steve broke up.  The paperback version of Skein of the Crime comes out on June 7 too along with the hardcover edition of Unraveled. If you are a fan of this series you understand my enthusiasm for this new installment to this wonderful series.  If you are new to this series the first two books are combined into one with the title of Double Knit Murders and once you get started you will grabbing the rest of the series in a hurry.  I will post a complete list at the bottom of this post.

Kelly is throwing herself into her consulting basis as she tries to deal with her break up with Steve.  She has picked up two major clients thanks to her friend Curt Stackhouse and they involve a lot of travel and are keeping her on her toes.

She decides to enjoy a day off with her real estate friend, Jennifer, and travel to one of her canyon properties to enjoy some beautiful vistas while Jennifer checks the property.  All the views are not as beautiful as expected when they find the property owner shot to death in his home.  Fred Turner is known for being difficult and he probably has more enemies than friends so there is no shortage of suspects.

Kelly just can't catch a break, her relationship with Steve has completely "unraveled" and now she finds herself in entangled in another murder investigation that has so many clues unraveling them may be her biggest challenge since coming to Fort Connor. Hopefully with a little help from her friends she can spin together all the loose ends, can book a murderer and still have time to knit some pieces of her personal life back together.

Each book in this series is better than the last and each leaves you wanting more.  To bad authors and publishers can't work as fast as we read.

The mystery in the one was challenging with perfect twists and turns. I love these characters and was so happy to see Lizzie back at the knitting table, hopefully Hilda's health will improve so she can get back to the table in the next book.  These are two spinster sisters, retired school teachers and fabulous knitters and they add a perfect touch to these stories.

Aside from the mystery and friendships of this story I absolutely loved the volleyball game that takes place midway through the book.  It was absolutely priceless!!!

Maggie Sefton has written yet another wonderful tale filled with wonderful characters, a notable mystery, an entire story the was a delight to read.

Be sure to stop back on June 14th for Maggie's Guest Post.
